English abstract
The title is the first starting idea for the reader on the way to the
skylines of the book and its contents. For this reason, the interest and study of the book appeared to be the first step for leading to its understanding and reaching the author's goal.
In this study, "Title in the Language Books until the End of the Fourth Century, I attempted to apply the semiotic theory in understanding the significance of the titles of the language books until
the end of the fourth century AH on their contents.
The study began with "The Concept of the Title" as an introduction
to it. In addition, it included four chapters such as: the first one is "The
Titles of the Language Books", the second is "The Formulation of the
Title and the Sources", "The Masses" is the third title, and the fourth is
"composite Title ".
Through the semiotic view of the Titles, we found that most of
them are indicative of their subjects except what we mentioned in the
letter.
