English abstract
This Study bears the title of (Psychological suffering attributed to the words contained in the poetry of Badr Shakir Al-Sayyab (Study of semantic field).
The importance of this study lies in the attempt of application the theory of semantic fields on the lexical study of the words based on their semantic fields,followed by highlighting the relationship which binds them in each field and also the relationships of one field to another.
The researcher divided the study into a preface and four chapters. The preface contains a theoretical framework of the theory of the semantic fields. As for the chapters; the first chapter includes the words which express the psychological suffering in the field of death. The second chapter includes the words used for the psychological suffering in the field of sickness. The third chapter includes words in the field of alienation which includes three sections. The forth chapter includes words of the field of injustice which includes two sections.
From this study it was found that each psychological field can be stationed in a specific collection based on the social and psychological situation that the Al-Sayyab undergone. The conclusion of the study contains the prominent results which were found.
