English abstract
This study was aimed to recognize the degree of approval on the proposed standards for the development of professional development of teachers in the schools of basic education in the sultanate of Oman in The light of some recent experiences. In order to achieve this Questionnaire was distributed all over the teachers. To demonstrate the impacts of each type, function, experiences and educational region in the proposed standards.
The Questionnaire was developed from 41 items consisting from 8 standards each standard contains of several indicators. It was distributed over the sample of study which was about 619 teachers. The statistical treatment of data was done using averages, standard deviations, ranks test (T-test), analysis of variance (One way ANOVA).
The important results that the study achieved was: -Estimates of the total members of the sample of study on the proposed standards for the development of professional development were the approval of a large degree.
- There were significant differences at the level
of significance (α = 0.05) between the mean axes of the study in the estimates of study sample on the
Axes measure attributable to the variable type in all the the standards, due to the favor of females.
-there were no significant differences at the level

- There were significant differences at the level
of significance (α = 0.05) between the mean axes of the study in the estimates of study sample on the
Axes measure attributable to the variable type in all the the standards, due to Variable function; it Came to favor of the first teacher and then the second area teacher.
-There were no significant differences at the level
of significance (α = 0.05) between the mean axes of the study in the estimates of study sample on the
Axes measure attributable to the variable type in all the the standards measure of years of experience with the exception of the first criteria, and came to the benefit of teachers in the years of experience from (6-10) years.
- There were significant differences at the level
of significance (α = 0.05) between the mean axes of the study în the estimates of study sample on the
Axes measure attributable to the variable type in all the the standards, due to the variable of the educational region and due to Muscat region.
In the light of the analysis of the literature, the previous studies and the results of field study. The study finds a vision to develop a proposal for standards of professional development in basic education schools in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of some recent experiences.
