English abstract
The current study aimed to identify the academic emotions and its relationship with academic resilience among 12 grade students in Al Dakhiliyah governorate in sultanate of Oman. The study sample consists of (425) respondents. The researcher used an academic emotions Scale which consist of (47) items and academic resilience Scale which consist of (21) items. Correlation descriptive design was used. The results showed that the level of positive academic emotions was high, while the level of negative academic emotions was moderate. The results also showed that the level of academic resilience was high. Regarding correlation coefficient, whilst the results showed that there was significant negative correlation between negative academic emotions and academic resilience, there was significant positive correlation between positive academic emotions and academic resilience. According to variables, the results showed that there was no significant difference in both negative and positive academic emotions due to gender. On other hand, the results showed that there was significant no significant difference in negative academic emotions due to cumulative average. Regarding academic resilience, the results showed that there was significant difference due to gender in favor of female, while there was no significant difference in academic resilience due to cumulative average.
