English abstract
This study aimed to identify the reality of meetings management in the schools of basic education cycle two in the governorate of Muscat from the
teachers' point of view. The researcher used a questionnaire to find out the reality of meetings management in the schools of basic education, cycle two in the governorate of Muscat, from the teachers' point of view, consisted of 41 items distributed on (4) pivots, and the study sample consisted of 214 teachers at 10% out of (2129) teachers and (192) questionnaires have been retrieved which are valid for the study by (0.89 %) of the study sample. The averages and
standard deviations and test (T-test) for two independent samples and analysis of variance of the responses of the study sample for each pivot of the pivots in the study were calculated and then come to know the reality of meetings management in basic education schools cycle twoin the governorate of Muscat,
from the teachers' point of view.
The results showed that meetings management in the schools of basic education, cycle twoin the governorate of Muscat, from the teachers' point of view pre- meeting and during the meeting was characterized being very effective, while post- meeting and the pivots of the problems facing the meeting was average, and the results showed that there were no significant statistical differences at the indicator level (a = 0,05) between the average estimates of the study sample in all dimensions of the study to the variable type (sex) and (years of experience), and the results showed that there were no significant statistical differences at the indicator level (a = 0,05) between the average estimates of the study sample in the two pivots of pre- meeting and the
problems that face the meeting of the variable (qualification), and the results
showed that there were significant statistical differences in the indicator level (a = 0,05) between the average estimates of the study sample at the pivot during the meeting and post- meeting of the variable (qualification) and in favor
of bachelor holders.
The study concluded the following recommendations:
1 - The need to involve teachers in the objectives development of the meeting, in order to be positive and active in the meeting.
2 - It is necessary to distribute documents and attachments of the meeting with the agenda well in advance, so that everyone can see them and give their comments around and include any elements which can be effective
in the meeting.
3- It is important to pay attention to the physical environment of the place of the meeting in terms of ventilation and breadth of all sessions and arrange adequate lighting by allocating special rooms for meetings there.
4 - The need to start and end the meeting on time, so the audience does not feel weary of meetings, and discouraged from attending future meetings.
5 -The assessing questionnaire of the meeting must be distributed to the audience after the completion of the meeting immediately so as to take the feedback.
6 - The need to qualify managers, teachers and enroll them in refresher courses in the field of meetings management.
