English abstract
Paying attention to the paratexts and their meanings is the main key to understanding
in depth a literary text and manifesting its content. Andalusian literature is known
for its enrichment of words used to formulate titles and introductions. The study
applies a thematic approach to explore the main conscious and unconscious themes
of Andalusian literary texts and to identify their recurring meanings.
The study divides the themes into five categories matching the human five senses.
The majority came under the optical category which include: architectural theme,
color theme, geographical theme, nature theme, war theme, etc. Several themes
classified under the auditory category, gustatory category, sensual category, and
olfactory category. Therefore, the study reveals great richness in terms of dictions
that Andalusian literary texts witness. The study also described the dictions of both
the structural and the phonemic level of the explored texts.
