English abstract
The current study aimed to practice degree of post-basic education
Arabic Language teachers in the Sultanate of Oman for the principles of
active learning, and to identify obstacles to their application from their
point of view. To verify this aim, the current study adopted a descriptive
approach based on data collection through the study tools and analysis to
reach the results and recommendations.
The researcher prepared a note card consisting of 34 words divided
into four axes, and a questionnaire consisting of 32 words divided into
four axes. The researcher verified the two instruments of the study by
presenting them to a number of specialists, and stability using statistical
treatments, the agreement factor for the note card was 75.3% and the alpha
factor of Cronbach total 0.980 while the alpha coefficient of Cronbach for
resolution was 0.989.
The results showed that the practice degree of Arabic language
teachers in post-basic education of the principles of active learning is a
small degree, and that the obstacles to the application of the principles of
active learning is high. Therefore, the researcher recommended an
exchange of experiences between teachers with distinctive experiences in
the application of active learning and other colleagues of Arabic language
teachers by employing their skills in vocational development programs for

teachers, and spreading awareness of the importance of applying the
principles of active learning during the teaching of Arabic language
Workshops, seminars, social media and other means, and proposed a
similar study of the current study applied to Arabic teachers in basic
education, and the proposal of a program to train Arabic language teachers
to teach in accordance with the principles of active learning and measure
its impact on the survival of the impact of learning among their students
and their tendencies towards active learning.
