English abstract
The current study aimed to identify the workaholism and its relationship to psychological well-being among employees of higher education at the Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consists of (272) respondents who were selected randomly. To achieve the objectives, the researcher translated a workaholism and psychological well-being Scales. Correlation descriptive design was used. The results showed that the level of Workaholism was high (Mean= 3.44), and the level of psychological well-being was high (Mean= 3.74). Regarding correlation coefficient, the results showed that there was significant negative correlation between workaholism and psychological well-being. According to variables, the results showed that there was no significant difference in workaholism and al domains due to study variables (sex, age, qualification, type of work, and marital status) except the control domain, the results showed that there was significant difference in control domain due to marital status in favor of single employee. Regarding psychological well-being, the results showed that there was no significant difference in well-being due to study variables (sex, age, qualification, type of work, and marital status). According to regression, the results showed that the control domain predicts in (5.2%) of psychological well-being among employees of higher education at the Sultanate of Oman (R2=0.05).
