English abstract
This study aimed to identify the reality of using science laboratories in Al-Dhahirah governorate schools from the viewpoint of teachers through identifying the usage level, obstacles, requirements, facilities, and the solutions for the use of science laboratories. In addition, it aimed to investigate the existence of statistically significant differences in the reality of using science laboratories in Al-Dhahirah governorate schools from the teachers' point of view due to the study variables (gender - school stage - academic qualification). The study community consisted of science (412) teachers in Al-Dhahirah governorate schools, while the study sample included (367) male and female teachers, The researcher adopted the descriptive approach as the study method and used the questionnaire as the study tool. There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05 ≥ α) between the average scores of the study sample members about the reality of using science laboratories in the schools of Al-Dhahirah Governorate from the teachers' point of view in all axes of the questionnaire due to the variable of study stage and the variable of experience.
The researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals, including reducing the tasks of science teachers and not assigning them additional administrative work, and performing periodic maintenance on laboratory equipment and tools.
