English abstract
The study aimed to identify the reality of using teaching aids in teaching science from teachers' viewpoint in Ad Dhahirah Governorate and the extent of the availability of teaching aids for science in basic education schools, and investigate the existence of statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members about the reality of the use of teaching aids in teaching science attributed to the variable of gender and academic qualification.
The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical approach, due to its relevance to the objectives of this study and its specific questions, the use of educational aids in teaching science in Ad Dhahirah Governorate, and the sample size was (375) male and female teachers.
The study also used the questionnaire as the main tool for collecting basic data. The prepared questionnaire included three areas (the degree of availability of teaching aids for science in basic education schools (or the degree of their availability in your school), the degree of use of educational aids in teaching science, obstacles to the use of educational aids) and these areas correspond to the questions of the current study.
The results of the study revealed that the response degree of use of educational aids in teaching science was high. Also, the largest percentage in the first axis was obtained by teaching devices related to the data show projector, while the lowest percentage was related to the teaching robots device.
The results indicated also that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) due to the variables of gender, educational qualification, and years of experience in the reality of using teaching aids in teaching science.
The study concluded many recommendations related to the results revealed by this study, which may contribute to the provision of many different educational aids, and work on developing them to suit all school curricula.
