English abstract
This study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of Microsoft Math Solver
software in acquiring algebra concepts among ninth grade students, and their
motivation towards learning mathematics .
The sample of the study consisted of (56) students from the ninth grade
students in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and the researcher followed the
quasi-experimental approach, and the study sample was chosen in an
intentional manner. (29) students which were taught using the usual method .
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a teacher's
guide for teaching the unit "analysis and solving quadratic equations" using
the software .
The results of the study were as follows :
•There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α =
0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students and the
scores of the control group students in the post application of the test of
acquiring algebra concepts in favor of the average scores of the experimental
group .
•There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α =
0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students and the
scores of the control group students in the post application of the scale of
motivation towards learning mathematics in favor of the average scores of
the experimental group .
In light of these results, the researcher recommended the necessity of
employing and using Microsoft Math Solver software in algebra topics, as
the study showed a positive impact on the students' acquisition of algebra برمجية
concepts in the unit "analysis and solving algebraic equations ."
