English abstract
Globally, sustainable development is a critical and contentious problem. As
a result, the concept of sustainable development has made a prominent
appearance in urban planning strategies. Indeed, urban planners are
increasingly incorporating this concept into their projects and development
strategies. The purpose of this article is to examine the planning issues in
the Sur Al-Siyabiyyin neighborhood, which is located in Wilayat AL Seeb's
Wadi AL Lwami area, including the structure of buildings, roadways, and
the sewage system. Additionally, the study discusses urban life's social and
environmental aspects in this neighborhood. The article is qualitative in
character, based on field observations and in-depth interviews. Interviews
with neighborhood inhabitants were undertaken to ascertain their
perspectives on urban development and revival in the area. AutoCAD and
Google Earth were also utilized to create a new sustainable neighborhood
plan. The study's findings reveal that numerous amenities such as shops,
gardens, mosques, Majles, and parking lots should be supplied to create a
sustainable neighborhood. According to the analysis, the collaboration
between the public and private sectors, planners, and inhabitants is critical
during rehabilitation procedures.
