English abstract
The instructor who is most successful in raising cross cultural awareness will have the attributes mentioned in the checklist given, but above all will be a sensitive and adaptable individual who is ready to deal with the unexpected and to encourage openness of expression. he/ she will be able tp understand the students point of view while helping them to understand that of others, and will be ready to acknowledge that cross cultural studies are a learning experience for him / her just as much as for the students.
