English abstract
The current study aims to uncover the role of infographics in enhancing visual thinking skills based on the perspective of social studies teachers of high school level in A’asharqiya North Governorate as well as revealing the differences attributable to the study variables which are gender, years of experience, and educational qualification. The study follows the descriptive approach. The sample consists of )43(male and female teachers who teach social studies at high schools of A’asharqiya North Governorate. The researcher uses a survey of her own design that reveals the role of infographics in enhancing visual thinking skills. This is achieved through collecting the respondents’ data of the used survey which is consisted of )37(questions in its finalized version.
The study concludes that indeed infographics have a significant role in enhancing visual thinking skills according to the perspective of social studies teachers of high school level in A’asharqiya North Governorate. Moreover, there are no statistically significant differences in the gender variable as well as the educational qualification and years of experience variables regarding the role of infographics in enhancing visual thinking skills. Therefore, the researcher recommends the necessity of applying and activating infographics in the educational process in order to develop students' visual thinking skills.
