English abstract
The research aimed to reveal the challenges of distance teaching during the Corona pandemic from the second cycle teachers’ perspectives in public schools in Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. And to reveal the differences between the target sample responses with respect to gender and years of experience. The research sample consisted of (100) male and female teachers. To achieve the research objectives, the researchers adopted the descriptive analytical approach and the questionnaire consisted of (40) items to measure the level of distance teaching challenges. The results showed that the level of distance teaching challenges during the Corona pandemic from the perspectives of second cycle teachers was average. Furthermore, the results showed that there were no differences between the responses of the sample members with respect to gender and years of experience at the level of significance (0.05). The research recommended the need to enhance the teachers’ strengths and develop them in terms of dealing with distance teaching through training courses and benefiting from the presented proposals to develop the distance teaching process.
