English abstract
The study aimed to investigate the meaning of life and its relationship with future anxiety among eleventh-grade students in Muscat Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consisted of 548 students. The participants were divided into across gender (275)male and (273) female students. The descriptive
correlational approach was suitable to the study objectives. The study depended on the life meaningful scale by Al-Abiad (2010), and the future anxiety scale by Zainab (2005) to verify the findings. IBM SPSS 23 software was conducted
to analyze the statistical hypotheses.
The study confirmed the high level of life-meaningful and mild future anxiety level among eleventh-grade students in Muscat governorate, Sultanate
of Oman. Furthermore, the study revealed that there is a negative association between a meaningful life and future anxiety. Additionally, there were no statistically significant differences in the means of the meaningful life subscales in favor of gender or specialization variables. Likewise, there were no statistically significant differences in the future anxiety subscale in favor of gender or specialization variables.
