English abstract
This study aimed to identify the impact of servant leadership on the job
performance of government sector employees, which used the Ministry of Health
as a case study for the government sector. The study explored the extent to which
leaders in the Ministry of Health apply the dimensions of servant leadership and
its impact on the job performance of employees. The descriptive analytical
approach was applied in this study. The secondary information was collected
from accredited Arab and foreign references, and primary data was collected
from the respondents through a questionnaire that was prepared to cover all
dimensions of this study and distributed to a sample Responses ware received
from 369 individuals working in the Ministry of Health out of 381 individuals
representing the study sample, and the data was analyzed using the Statistical
Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) .
The results showed that the study sample estimates about the extent to which
the leaders of the Ministry of Health practice servant leadership with its
dimensions ware at a (high) level. The study sample estimates about the level of
job performance of the Ministry of Health employees ware (very high) and the
independent variable (servant leadership) (10%) explained the variance in Job
performance quotient. The independent variable (servant leadership) (18.4%)
explained the variance in job performance in the presence of the mediating
variable (the objective of organizational climate) participation .
The study made several recommendations, the most important of which are:
Strengthening servant leadership, that works to create a positive organizational
environment to raise the efficiency of job performance of the employees of the
Ministry of Health, through training leaders on servant leadership skills. The
need to pay attention to all elements of servant leadership due to its role in
developing effective job performance of the Ministry’s employees in addition to
adopting the principle of servant leadership in all departments within the
Ministry through real practice.
