English abstract
The study aimed to investigate the correlation between the practice of transformational leadership and the job performance of the supervisory staff in the Ministry of Endowments & Religious Affairs. The study is descriptive-analytical approach, the population consisted of supervisors of religious staff in the Ministry, the researcher take (136) supervisors as a sample. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: transformational leadership (24) items, job performance (21) items. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient value reached (0.948). The researcher used arithmetic means; standard deviations, analysis of variance, and Pearson’s answer correlation coefficient to reach the findings.
The results showed a significant increase in the level of practice of transformational leadership and job performance by religious supervisors. Whereas there were no substantial, statistically significant differences between each of the transformational leadership and job performance due to gender, age, or years of experience. The study presents correlative relationships with positive trends for both transformational leadership variables and job performance variables without exception; Where the results also indicated a discrepancy and a difference in the correlational strength, so the highest correlation strength was between the inspirational motivation (transformational leadership) and caring for feelings (job performance) among the supervisory staff.
The study recommended, organizing scientific seminars, special courses, and training programs to enhance the practice of transformational leadership in other government agencies, to improve performance, and support everything that leads to the application of appropriate methods and proposals to activate the performance of transformational leadership.
