English abstract
This study aimed to show the impact of succession planning on the performance of employees in government institutions and what are the consequences of that, and it is expected that the results of this study will contribute to enriching the practical and scientific side of government institutions and clarify the correct approach in that. Where the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, which is based on describing and analyzing the relationship between succession planning and the performance of employees in government institutions and knowing the results of the study. The study sample consisted of 186 employees in government institutions. The researcher also designed the questionnaire through the electronic system using Google Forms to collect data and use excel program to shift it to number, and then use the SPSS statistical program for the analysis and processing process. The results of the study, based on the responses of the samples, showed varying percentages in demographic aspects, as well as in the questions of the study aspects (planning, leadership and performance). It also showed that there is an inverse relationship between succession planning and the level of job performance, and the study showed a high arithmetic mean and standard deviation in the three aspects of the study.
