English abstract
The study aims to identify the relationship between dangerous driving behavior and the tendency to take risks among students of the Nizwa of University, and to reveal the differences between dangerous driving behavior and the tendency to take risks, and to study the behavior of the individual when driving a car. The study followed the descriptive, correlational approach, and the study sample consisted of (186) Male And female , who are Studing at the Nizwa of University, answing the study’s questions, then used a risky driving behavior scale from the (Al-Amri 2017 scale), and a risk propensity scale from the Al-Hammad and Al-Shawareb scale (2019). The results showed that dangerous driving behavior among students at the Nizwa of University It was low, and the measure of risk-taking behavior was moderate. The study showed the existence of a positive positive correlation with statistical significance between risky driving behavior and risk-taking behavior among Nizwa of University students at the level (α≤0.01), and this indicates that the lower the risk-taking behavior Towards risk, I reduced risky driving behavior and vice versa. . The study recommended programmes to sensitize young men in particular and older men and women in general on dangerous driving behaviour. Building a mentoring programme to sensitize young people who are reckless in dangerous driver behaviour and risk orientation.
