English abstract
This study aims to build a collective counseling program for the development of moral growth for the first cycle basic education students in the Sultanate of Oman and make it ready to be applied by stakeholders who wish to use it such as researchers, and those whom may concern and physiological consolers in the Sultanate of Oman to develop the moral growth for the first cycle basic education students in the Sultanate of Oman.
This proposed collective counseling program has been on the basis of the theoretical literature who wrote about the moral development as well as the previous studies which guidance programs. Therefore, I mainly used some studies such as (Al Hadrami, 2012; AS'aqr, 2005; Atobi, 2010; AN'sir, 2009).
The proposed counseling program consisted of 13 sessions. The researcher suggested to apply it as two sessions per week. The duration of each session was about 45 minutes almost same as the class period duration. The first and the second session were aimed to introduce the members of counseling group and the consoler and introducing themselves to each other. As well as building the confidence and familiarity. The concept of development of moral has been introduced in sessions three and four.
The sessions fifth to the twelfth was aimed at the developing of moral growth of the sample targeted of the proposed collective counseling program. Whereas, the thirteenth session was aimed to close the Proposed collective counseling program. To apply this guidance program, the researcher suggested many guiding ways such as discussion, feedback, encouragement, homework, summarising, modeling, simple lecture, role play, problem solving, assertiveness, imagination, asking questions assessment and singing. Moreover, the researcher suggested, listening to holy Quran style.
The researcher suggested many tools to help to apply the previous styles such as: whiteboard, markers, Proxima monitor, computer, display screen, skills practice cards that included in the program and sessions assessment cards.
To conclude, researchers hopes that psychologists and the social psychologists in Sultanate of Oman get benefits of this program for the purposes of improving the moral development for the first cycle basic education students. The researcher hopes that this program is effective in improving the moral development for the first cycle basic education students in the Sultanate of Oman.
