English abstract
This study aims to learn about the most important aspects of similarities and
differences among Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) model and the Blended
Learning model in the Arab Open University, The researcher employed the
comparative approach to reach the results through the application of the search tool
of "comparison card" on the sample of the study represented in the " Blended
Learning " method applied at the Arab Open University, Sultanate of Oman branch,
While studying the researcher extending three semesters during his preparation for
a master's study in educational technology during the years 2015-2016; and on
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) represented in the course "How to design
an educational subject in the huge open educational platforms enrollment - the
second session" during the period between October 1, 2016 to October 31 2016,
After conducting the comparison mechanisms among the two types of education, the
study reached several results, the most important of which are: Integrated learning
is the partial application of e-learning, and Moocs is its general application, and that
the theoretical reference is available for both types, with different application limits,
and that the pattern of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) has a great deal of
ease of registration mechanisms, unlike the pattern of Blended Learning, and that
the pattern of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) has more flexibility in terms
of requiring qualifications and previous experience, unlike the Blended Learning
pattern.
