English abstract
A case report of three Omani children age ranging from one month
to ten years managed in a district hospital. All three children
reverted to normal sinus rhythm after I.V. adenosine and are
under follow up. A detailed review of management of Paroxysmal
Supraventricular Tachycardia is discussed. Treatment options
include no treatment, vagal manoeuvres, long term drug therapy,
radiofrequency catheter ablation, and surgery. Recurrence may
occur and patients have to be educated about home management
and when to seek medical help.
