Disciplinary punishment for legality controls and position
Omani and Egyptian law from it
The principle of the legitimacy of disciplinary punishment is one of the most
important axes on which to achieve justice in the disciplinary area of the public

disciplinary authority from being arbitrary, except that the principle of the legiti macy of disciplinary punishment differs from the principle of the legality of the
punishment in the criminal field which means "no crime and no punishment except
by text" , Where disciplinary legitimacy is limited to "No penalty except by text"
and the application of this principle requires disciplinary punishment to be imposed
within the penalties mentioned exclusively , Where the disciplinary authority must
choose a sanction commensurate with the disciplinary violation, and the application of the principle of the disciplinary sanction of the law prevents the disciplinary
authority from turning into an arbitrary, authoritarian authority where it adheres
to a set of procedures to be followed regarding employee discipline and hence the
importance of this research which highlights the controls of applying the principle
of The legality of disciplinary punishment in both Omani and Egyptian law .
