English abstract
This study sought to: (1) identify the dimensions of employment policies of national manpower in the Omani private sector, (TM) identify their ability to absorb new entrants into the labor market, () gauge the perceptions of the employment process parties: officials in the Ministry of Manpower, business people and the Omani employees, () detect the most important difficulties which face achieving objectives of employment policies, and propose ways to improve these policies. The study adopts the analytical descriptive approach in collecting data by using two methods: social survey and content analysis. The study adopts four scales in collecting field data. The first is a questionnaire which is given to the employees, while the second questionnaire is given to the business people. The third is a set of interview questions which are given to the officials about the state of employment policies. The fourth is qualitative content analysis. The most important findings are: (1) the success of employment policies adopted by the government to employ the national manpower in the private sector, () there is a willingness of Omani citizens to work in the private sector, and the Omani employees who worked in the private sector had vocational experience as a result of working in there. The study presents some recommendations which may help in improving national manpower employment policies in the Omani private sector; the most important ones are the matters related to salaries, wages, working system, and national manpower guidance and awareness.
