English abstract
This study aimed to identify the religions that emerged in the Arabian Peninsula before Islam (Oman as a sample), both religion status or divine religions, and the impact of these religions on social, economic, political, and the extent of the contribution of religions, especially in speed to accept the people of Oman to Islam. And adopted a researcher in this study the scientific method of analysis, through extrapolation of historical information of various received in the sources of Oman, and the sources of Arab and Islamic historical, geographical, literary and religious, in addition to the modern references, whether Arab or foreign, or even relics unearthed dating back to the time period of study matter.
The study was divided into an introduction and a preface, three chapters and a conclusion, preface explained geographical location and its impact on the territory of Oman, and the links of civilization that is the cultural impact of the trade, wars and conflicts, and the first chapter it reviews the religious status in Oman before Islam, and branch of this chapter, three themes, where she spoke First, the researcher: for worship and reverence the manifestations of nature, and secondly the worship of idols, and thirdly Zoroastrian religion. While Chapter Il discusses the religions that were in the territory of Oman in the time period of matter study, and divided the class into three themes also, the first dealing with Judaism, and the second religion of Christianity, and the third, it will address the true religion or Alhanifia.
