English abstract
The study aimed to identify the relationship between life quality and the big five factors of personality for a sample of master students at Nizwa University. The sample consisted of 222 students from both gender, 101 students are male , while 121 students are female. They are from college of Science and Arts, College of Economics, Management and Information Systems. The sample was chosen randomly. The study followed the descriptive correlation method. To achieve the study aims, the researcher used the quality of life scale of Manasseh and Kazem (2010), and the big five factors of personality scale of Costa and McCrea (1992) , and the translation of Al Ansari (1996). The results as follow:
Life quality of master students at Nizwa University was high except of two dimensions (living conditions, time served, and administration). The level of the big five factors of personality among the sample of master students at Nizwa University was high. There is a positive correlation between the quality of life and the big five factors of personality except of (living conditions) and (openness to experience. There is no significant statistical differences in life quality scale according to gender except of emotional quality and psychological quality for male. There is significant statistical differences in male and female in the level of the big five factors of personality except of (acceptance and consciences).
