English abstract
This study aims at addressing the effectiveness of using animation in teaching the Islamic Education subject in the academic achievement among the sixth-grade female students, and their inclination towards using it. In order to achieve the study objectives, the semi-empirical approach was used. The Researcher prepared the academic material using animation. She also prepared a test consisted of (20) multiple-choice questions. Moreover, she prepared an inventory for inclination composed of (20) phrases in order to identify the students' inclination towards using animation in teaching. After verifying the reliability and validity of both tools, the researcher applied the study to a sample of (60) female students from Aisha bint Talhah Basic Education School (5 – 12 Grades) in Ad-Dakhiliyah, Bahlaa. The sample was divided into two groups: a control group of (30) female students studying the unit using the ordinary method, and an experimental group of (30) female students studying the unit using animation.
The study has concluded that there are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05 = α) between the average grades of empirical and control groups in favor of the empirical group. The study results also showed that the students have high positive inclinations towards using animation in Islamic Education teaching.
In light of these results, the study recommended that ready-to-use animation programs should be developed by educators and specialists in the Ministry of Education to serve Islamic Education and academic curricula in general. The study also recommended Islamic Education teachers to use animation in teaching due to its importance in improving academic achievement.
