English abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the degree to which the teachers of the Holy Quran schools of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science in Oman have the skills of cooperative learning and their attitudes toward adopting it. The study was applied to a sample of 40 teachers from those schools. In order to answer the study questions, the researcher used two tools: the first is a note card to measure the degree of teachers' acquisition of cooperative learning skills. The not card measure consists of four parts: (planning skills, lesson execution skills, intervention skills, and assessment skill). The second tool of measurement is a questionnaire of 20 paragraphs to identify the attitudes of teachers towards the use of cooperative learning skills in teaching. The study results showed that the degree of cooperative learning skills possession of the study sample was high. The study also showed that the trends of the study sample toward the use of cooperative learning skills were positive and high. The results of this study have showed that there are no statistically significant differences between the average of the sample in the averages of the sample in the degree of having cooperative learning skills due to the educational qualification variable. Also, there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a=005) due to years of experience variable in the degree of having cooperative learning skills in all fields of measurement except in differences came for the sample who have years of experience between 11 to 15 years. The study results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a=005) between the average of the sample in the trend towards the use of collaborative learning for the variables: educational specialization, and years of experience. The study has recommended some important recommendation as following: The study curriculum should contain lessons that use the cooperative learning method. Also, the teachers use the cooperative learning method more widely in lessons. In addition, classrooms should be prepared very well to be relevant to apply the cooperative learning method especially in termes of space.
