English abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the features of Arab literature published in AL-Ghadeir magazine during the period extending from it's first issue on 18th of November 1977 up to the last issue in June 1984 through the answer to the following questions :
1. What was the percentage of the space assigned to Arab · literature and related topics in AL-Ghadeir magazine ? 2. What genres of Arts and literature were published in · AL-Ghadeir magazine ? . 3. To what extent had the magazine utilized different
journalistic approaches such as news stories , essays, . interviews to cover literature topics ? To answer these questions , related topics were extracted from all the 77 issues of Al-Ghadeir magazine published between 1977 and 1984. "Using computer, the researcher has entered the data categorizing percentage , genre and author with an emphasis on female contributors.
The most important findings were : 1. The imbalance of distribution of art material. 2. The total of art material was 511 topics. 1977 has seen the last number of art topics while 1984 scored the highest number of topics. 3. Poetry took the first position while interviews came at the 6th and last position. 4. The most published art topic in the magazine were :
poetry , essays, concepts and stories while the most journalistic styles used to cover art topics were essays , news stories and interviews.
