English abstract
This dissertation examines the theoretical model of cultural criticism, and its procedural ability by analysis descriptive language, Conceptual device, methodology, and critical models in Al Ghathami books that was written at the period (2000-2018). The researcher has argued the subject from general to specific trying to reach the characteristics of the model of cultural criticism, taking into account the discussion of some problems related to Abdullah al-Ghathmi model of cultural criticism such as the relationship between cultural criticism and linguistic, the relationship between Al-Ghathami cultural criticism model and the model of American Vincent Leitch, and the problematic relationship between literary criticism and cultural criticism. The dissertation included an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. Chapter one discusses the concepts of model and modelling, while chapter two dissects the independence of Al Ghathami model of cultural criticism, and chapter three, analyses the characteristic of Al Ghathami model. The study concluded that Al Ghathami model of cultural criticism is a part of linguistics critique, the procedural aspect of cultural criticism is divided into two parts: one adheres to the rules of the model and its descriptive language as defined by al-Ghathami, and the other is less committed to the rules of the model. Finaly, the study also concluded that there are some drawbacks to the Al Ghathami cultural criticism model, such as the focusing on context the text, its lack of specialization, and the lake of differentiating between the literary behind and the implicit in the discourse,
