English abstract
This study aimed at investigating the degree of including self learning skills in Arabic language books activities at the seventh and eighth grads of basic education. To achieve answe this purpose , the study answered the following tow questions: 1- what are the self learning skills that must be to second grade student? 2- To what extent are the skills included in Arabic language books activities at the seventh and eighth grade? To answer these questions, the researcher used descriptive analytical method and designed the following two instrument: * A list of self learning skills which is necessary for the second grade student and that should be included in Arabic language books exercises at the seventh and eighth grade of basic education in the Sultanate of Oman and that was validated by panel of experts. *- An analysis list: It was derived from self learning skills after being judged its suitability that was determine by using another master student. The validity checks( 90%). We came up with about self leaning skills that the second grade student in the basic education need which contain about (26) skills divided in to two fields : 1 - self learning skills connected to cognitive - beaneries activities about Arabic Language Learning and this field contain (13)skills. 2 - self learning skills connected to contextual and this field contain (13)skills. In genital, the degree of self learning skills availability in the seventh and eighth basic education book activities are a highest contextual. The second field concerning with the self learning skills and the self learning language has got the highest degree of spare which reaches (100%).But the first field concerning with self learning and the behaving knowledge practice for learning Arabic has got (76.7%). The study of the result has com to some recommendation ,the benefit from self learning necessary of the learners of the second degree of the basic education when preparing the Arabic Language Curriculums for the coming degrees of study of this stage and the increase of importance of learning some skills like; learning modern self learning methods and their function , learning the methods of learning Arabic Language and its uses, learning searching skills necessary for Arabic Language and how to practice it and finally limiting the problems which face the learner of self learning Arabic language. Also some suggestion have been introduced for other searches and studies concerning with self learning on one hand and the richest activities accompanied on the other hand.
