The aim of this study was to investigate the included degree of population education concepts in social studies books for grade (7-12) and general diploma students' acquisition to these concepts in Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the aims of this study, the researcher used the descriptive method and designed a content analysis card that had (75) concepts of educational population distributed in (5) domains: population status, population dynamics, population and development, population and health, and population and family life. The validity of the above card was examined by a group of referrals. The reliability of the analysis was examined by another analyzer. In addition to that the researcher designed an achievement test of (36) items. The validity of the test was examined by referrals, and its reliability was examined by using cronbach's alpha coefficient which was scored as (0.75). The researcher analyzed the content of (13) books and then applied the test on (999) male and female students in governate of south Batina and governate of north Batina. The study also highlighted that there was differences in the acquisition level due to the domains, More importantly, the study emphasized that there were significant statically differences ja (0,05 in population education acquisition favoring female. There were also differences attributed to governate variables. The researcher recommends to put more concern to some concepts within the different domains, and have diversity in the forms of the included population education, and work on enhancing the student acquisition to population education concepts.
