English abstract
The present study aimed at identifying the difficulties in oral performance in Arabic language for bilingualism students in cycle one in Basic Education. To achieve this aim, the study attempted to answer the following research question:
- What are the oral difficulties in Arabic language which encounter the bilingualism students in cycle one in Basic Education? In order to answer the question the researcher prepared' oral performance test' OPT. The test calculated by "Alpha Carabagh" The sample of this study consisted of 76 students (males and females) selected from grade five from schools in Muscat and Batinah South region.
The findings of this study revealed that the bilingualism students find difficulties in oral performance skill in reading aloud and speaking. For example: - difficulties in pronouncing some Arabic vowels. - difficulties in distinguishing between the three kinds of Al- tanween. - difficulties in distinguishing between the Alam Shamsia and Qamaria. - difficulties in changing positive sentence to negative. - difficulties in comparative between (this (male) this (fmale) in the use.
In the light of these findings the study presents some recommendations for further research. For example: - Bilingualism students join in the Holly Quran centres before school.
Join the bilingualism student's teacher with the training and educational workshops. So, these aims to how to development students in their language and raise them in better levels.
The study presented some suggestions from other researches. for example:
- Identifying the difficulties in oral performance in Arabic language for bilingualism students in cycle two in Basic Education and further.
- Design a program in order to solve the difficulties in oral performance in Arabic language for bilingualism students in cycle one in Basic Education.
