English abstract
This study aimed at investigating the extent of the social studies inspector practice of his technical tasks from teachers point of view in the Sultanate of Oman. The study population consisted of all Social Studies teachers (male and female) teaching in both Preparatory and Secondary level schools. Results: The results of this study indicated that there are no statistically significant differences in the study sample ratings that can be attributed to any of the variables of: sex, experience and graduation establishment. There are statistically significant differences in members of the study sample ratings related to the graduation establishment in the fourth component concerning the examinations and evaluation of students learning in favor of the teacher colleges graduates, as the value of t-test reached 0,002.
This study recommended the following Increasing the number of inspectors to enable them to do their work perfectly. Studying the factors which hinder the inspectors from practising their technical tasks. Minimizing the number of sudden class visits and replacing them with planned visits, training workshops and increasing training seminars for inspectors.
