English abstract
The current study aimed at knowing the prevalence ratios of behavior of the pattern "A" and the irrational thoughts, and examining the relation of each other in the sample of the study, and comparing different variables, those are (Gender, specialization, and years of experience) with behavior of the pattern "A" and the irrational thoughts.
The study sample was formed of (220) teachers of Al-Dhahrah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, (139) was male teachers and (81) was female teachers. The behavior of personal style scale of Bashir Mamariah (2005) and the rational-irrational thoughts scale of AL- Rihani (1985) were used for the purpose of this study. The psychometric properties of the two scales had been checked by using the survey sample of the study. For the objectives of the study, the researcher used the appropriate methods and statistical tests to answer the questions of the study, they are as follow:
- Duplicates, Percentages, and Ranks to determine prevalence ratios.
- "T" test to compare the variables of gender and specialization.
- "One Way Anova" test to compare the variable years of experience in the study scales.
- "Scheffe" test to compare the statistically significant differences resulting from the "One Way Anova" test.
