English abstract
This study aimed to identify the level of both Career maturity and making vocational decision and knowing the relation between both of them for a study sample consists of 288 female students in grade ten at Al Dakhiliya Region,Sultanate of Oman. To measure the Career maturity, a certain questionnaire of 40 paragraphs was developed and it reached accepted reliability and validity indicators for both methods.
Arithmetic averages and standard deviations for Career maturity variable and making vocational decision variable and Pearson correlation coefficient were done to answer the questions of the study. The results indicated that the level of both Career maturity and making vocational decision for the sample individuals is high and there is a positive relation and statistical indicators between Career maturity and making vocational decision.
The results were illustrated and discussed in the light of the theoretical view and previous studies. A number of very important recommendations was reached such as the curriculum should include activities and different situations that could share in satisfying the desires and needs of the students to help them raise the level of Career maturity and raise their ability in making decisions by themselves. The researcher got some suggestions for later studies.
