To achieve this aim, the researcher designed a rhetoric achievement test and guideline for using 5E's learning cycle for grade ten rhetoric lessons. Both instruments were examined by a group of specialized jury who ensured their validity. Reliability was measured using Cranach Alpha which was (0.76).
The study sample was divided into two groups: an experimental group consisting of (32) students who were taught using5E's learning cycle and a controlled group consisting of (28) students who were using a conventional method. Both groups took a post achievement test.
The study major findings is that: There is a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in favor of experimental group as a result of the SE's learning cycle. Therefore, there is a statistically significant difference between the two groups in favor of the experimental group in levels of cognitive achievement:(Remembering, Understanding, and Applying).
Based on these results, the researcher recommended training teachers on modern strategies in teaching rhetoric, and conducting further studies on the 5E's learning cycle to ensure its effectiveness in the different branches of the Arabic language.
