English abstract
This study aimed to identify the evaluations of teaching ethics by the supervisors of Islamic education and the principles of Basic education schools(cycle two) according to gender and Educational qualifications. The study included 59 supervisors of Islamic education and also 124 principals of Basic education schools (circle two) in the academic year 2004/2005.
In order to answer these questions of the study, the researcher used the ethics of teaching questionnaire which he prepared. it contained 72 paragraphs which he has confirmed its validity and stability. To analyze the data the researcher used means, standard deviation, mode, t-test. the research has come up with the following results: -The teachers of Islamic education are committed by the ethics of teaching with a high rate according to the supervisors and principals. -There are no significant statistical differences among the evaluations of the supervisors and the principals relating to the commitment of ethics except for the subject taught. - There are no significant statistical differences among the evaluations of the supervisors relating to the commitment of ethics according to gender except for the subject taught. - There are no significant statistical differences among the evaluations of the supervisors relating to the commitment of ethics according to Educational qualifications. - There are no significant statistical differences among the evaluations of the principals relating to the commitment of ethics according to gender and Educational qualifications.
Depending upon this research study the researcher recommends to include educational courses about teaching ethics in higher education. Also, the ministry of education can adopt an ethic charter for the employee in the educational field. He suggests establishing other studies about the effects of the commitment of the ethics of teaching on their performances, attitudes towards their work and the learning levels of their students.
