English abstract
This study aims at determination of educational needs for training
leaders of general education directorates in Sultanate of Oman , of a number
of administrative skills. To achieve this aim I designed a questionnaire consists
of (63) paragraphs, after making sure of its suitability it was applied on (88)
educational leaders . For answering questions conveyed in the study I calculated
the averages ,deviation standard and level in addition to using test (T) and
analyzing unity vary.
The outcome of the study showed that Educational needs for training
leaders of general education directorates in Sultanate of Oman are in need of
training in the following fields: Strategic planning, Organization and
management development, Administrative leadership, Crisis management,
Quality control, Performance assessment, Staff professional development, and
Communication skills.
Also this study shows no statistics vary at the level of (a=0.05) of
averages ,deviation standard for assessment of in individuals in the study , and

their training needs attributed for the following changes : job titles , years of
experience, educational region ,and qualifications in three fields which : (
strategic planning , crisis administration, and performance assessment) . there
are vary at the level of (a=0.05) of averages ,deviation standard for assessment
of in individuals in the study , and their training needs attributed in department
organizational and development, organizational leadership, quality assurance,
staff vocational development, communications ) for bachelor holders .
In light of previous findings, the study recommends the ministry to train leaders
in the field of strategic planning, quality control, performance evaluation,
communication, administrative leadership, professional development for
employees, organization and management development, and crisis management.
