English abstract
This study aimed to investigate the most important contributing factors in recidivism among prison inmates in central Oman, in light of some of the variables , the study sample consisted of 240 inmates of guests returning to the central prison 's 300 inmates of the study period.
The results showed that the economic factor of the most important contributing factors in recidivism among the prison inmates, which is the length of time for an exchange certificate response consideration by the competent authorities and the difficulty of getting a job after their release and the high cost of living and prices and the lack of income, and that the most important Subjective factors contributing to the lute for the
crime is the weakness of the religious faith and addiction to alcohol and drugs and feeling
anxious about the future and a sense of tension and distress most of the time ; As for the
most important social factors contributing to the recidivism represented in the absence of a nursing guests after their release and the weakness of rehabilitation and reform within the
prison and ill use of leisure time and the influence of bad companions and society's
perception of the negative were released and the weakness of awareness programs and preventive risk of crime by the various institutions of society; as the results of the study also revealed that of the leading drug and then returning crimes of theft.
