English abstract
The aim of this study is to build a collective counseling program and investigating its effectiveness in satisfying some of the guidance needs of alternative mothers at the Childcare Center in Muscat.
In this study, we use the measurement of the indicative needs of the alternative mothers was evaluated by the current researcher using the care of the trainees (2012). The accuracy was verified by using the internal consistency of the scale as well as by checking the stability usingCronbach's Alphastability.
The sample study was consisted of 24 alternative mothers. It divided into two groups. There were 12 mothers and orientation program based on satisfying the extension needs of the alternative mothers, and the control group, they were 12 had not given the program. The indicative consists of 10 orientation sessions. The validity of the program was confirmed be presenting it to a group of arbitrators.
The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group. Also, there were statistically significant differences between the pre and post application. There were no statistically significant differences between the post and sequential application of experimental group. As well, the continuity of the effectiveness of the extension program used in the study even after the program stopped. In general, the results indicated the effectiveness of the used program in this study on the members of experimental group.
