English abstract
This study aimed at identifying the obstacles and counseling needs of the physically disabled students. The sample of the study consisted of (40) physically disabled males and females enrolled in Alwafa Centers at ALSharqya North region, they range in age between (18-30 years). Two main scales has been used in this study; first, social as well as psychological problems of the physically disabled scale prepared by ALKhawalda(2006), second, counseling needs scale of the physically disabled scale prepared by Alhamd (2001). The scholar has applied both scales on an empirical group in Oman and both got high scores of validity and stability. The study resulted in the following:
- Social problems exists among the physically disabled in a large range of (3.85) and (3.54).
- Psychological problem of the physically disabled exists among the large range of (3.84) and (3.49). - No differences with significant statistical indications exists at the level of (a<0.05)among the physically disabled with regards to their counseling needs, specifically in terms of legislative, economical or social and psychological needs that could be referred to the variable of the type for the males.
- A statical significance exists at the level of (a<0.05)of the counseling needs of the physically disabled in ALWafa social Centers in regards with the males' health needs.
