English abstract
This study aimed on understanding the relationship between happiness and creative thinking and their effect on the achievement level among students of Sultan Qaboos University.
The sample of research was selected randomly from the students of the colleges of Sultan Qaboos University within the academic year 2016-2017, and they where about 270 students (149 males and 121 females). That it was limited only on the students of the bachelor of various majors, considering that the students have passed at least a semester, to obtain a GPA of the previous semester.
By applying Oxford Happiness Questioner (OHQ) and Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT), and by applying the statistical methods, the results showed a significant relationship between happiness and creative thinking. However, there are no significant differences in the level of feeling happy and the ability to thinking creatively between the male and female.
Finally the most important recommendations of the study were to make more research and studies on the relationship between happiness and creative thinking in order to gain a better understanding of this relationship, and to monopolize the results into productive academic programs by providing an enhanced environment to make students feel more happy and think creatively.
