English abstract
This study aimed to identify the relationship between psychological resilience and each of communication skills and mental health in a Sample of (1000) students from Nizwa University in the Sultanate of Oman, (403) students of the sample were males, and (597) were females. Conner & Davidson's psychological resilience Measure (Conner & Davidson, 2003), Bienvenu communication skills Measure (Millard, Bienvenu, 1969), translated and prepared by the researcher, and Ahmed Abdul – Khaleq's mental health Measure (Abdul – Khaleq's, 2011) were used in this study. The results showed high level of resilience and mental health, and moderate level of communication skills. There were significant relationship resilience between the studied variables in general. The results also indicated significant differences between psychological resilience and mental health based on sex variable in favor of females; whereas there was not any differences with regard to measure of communication skills dimension. With regard to age, there were some differences in favor of the age sample (22-29) at one of the communication skills; without any differences in any other dimension or variable. There were also differences in resilience health and mental health levels based on college variable in favor of College of Arts and Sciences; whereas differences were in favor of College of Pharmacy and Nursing with regard to the level of communication skills. There were differences in psychological resilience and mental health and communication skills levels based on educational level in favor students
of qualification of educational. The results also indicated that psychological resilience
contributed to predicting mental health and communication skills of Nizwa University students.
