This thesis aims to identify the legal provisions that regulate the optional electronic auction in the Sultanate of Oman, especially after the appearance of some sites specialized in managing electronic auctions and the presence of some unclear procedures, whether through the organizers of electronic auctions or the category of the dealers, which caused some problems in the practical and legal aspect, and therefore this study seeks to bridge this legislative deficiency and avoid it and clarify all its provisions in Omani law, leading to the creation of an integrated legal system for electronic auction. This study has been divided into an introductory study and two chapters, the introductory topic deals with the concept of electronic auction and its characteristics, types, advantages and disadvantages. The first chapter deals with the elements of contracting via electronic auction, where the second chapter deals with the effects of contracting via electronic auction, and among the most important results of the study: 1- Contracting via electronic auction has not received sufficient legislative attention in the Sultanate, as there is no legislation for electronic or traditional public auction despite the existence of electronic sites in the Sultanate that manage electronic auctions.
