This study aim to identify the role of personal and social factors in shaping the behavior of bullying among school students from the point of view of the social workers in 5 – 12 Grade schools at Muscat Governorate, the level of bullying behavior in schools, the role of the social worker towards this problem, and to come up with recommendations to deal with bullying in schools. This study belongs to descriptive studies. The researcher used the social survey technique with 86 of social workers in Muscat Governorate schools, Data collection tools include a questionnaire for social workers, and content analysis for a number of bulling cases files. The study reached a number of results; the most important were as follows: - The patterns of bullying with different levels were existed in schools, the level of their existence is generally low, verbal bullying is the most prevalent pattern among students, and the problem of bullying is not considered as a widespread problem in schools; however it is necessary to pay attention to it and intensify efforts to overcome. Because of their effects on the student and society. This may alleviate the negative impact of bullying on students and as well the society. - The social environment of the school is the most influential in the composition of bullying behavior among students. This may be due to several reasons, including: the traits of the age, and the age range among students in schools, - Physical factors are more influential than other personal factors. This may be explained by the age at which a student passes through the stage of adolescence, in which he feels the physical power and he is trying to prove himself through bullying behavior. - Social workers are seeking to treat the problem of bullying in schools; however, their role still below the expected level. The study has reached some recommendations to strengthen the role of social workers in dealing with bullying among students.
