The study aimed to investigate the attitudes of tenth-grade students towards vocational and technical education and training and its relationship with vocational awareness in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the study's objectives, a descriptive correlational approach was used. The study relied on two scales: 1- An attitude scale prepared by Sabira (2018), 2- A vocational awareness scale prepared by Al-Sobhi (2009), for data collection and information. Their validity and reliability were ensured, and they were applied to a sample consisting of (502) male and female students from the tenth grade in the Muscat Governorate. One of the most important findings of the study is that the attitude towards vocational and technical education and training among tenth-grade students in the Sultanate of Oman was of moderate degree with an average score of (3.30). The results also indicated that the level of vocational awareness among tenth-grade students towards vocational and technical education and training in the Sultanate of Oman was strong with an average score of (3.50). Furthermore, the results showed a statistically significant correlation between the attitudes of tenth-grade students towards vocational and technical training and vocational awareness in the Sultanate of Oman, with a moderate level of significance, as the significance level was less than (0.05) with a value of (0.00), indicating the presence of statistically significant differences in favor of the attitude towards vocational and technical education and training. The study's results also indicated statistically significant gender-based differences in the attitudes of tenth-grade students towards vocational and technical education and training in the Sultanate of Oman, favoring females. Similarly, the results suggested statistically significant gender-based differences in the level of vocational awareness among tenth-grade students towards vocational and technical education and training in the Sultanate of Oman, favoring females. In light of these results, the study made several recommendations, with the most prominent ones being: Providing school students with diverse information about the professions available in the world of work, Raising awareness among parents about the importance of vocational and technical education, Creating job opportunities for graduates of vocational education, Raising awareness among all segments of society about the importance of vocational and technical work, Establishing partnerships with the private sector for vocational training and employing students of vocational education, Working to enhance the social status of technicians and professionals in a manner commensurate with their importance in society.
