This research deals with the extent to which it is permissible to resort to arbitration in administrative contract disputes, in light of the provisions of the Omani Arbitration Law, with comparison with the legal provisions contained in the Egyptian Arbitration Law, to benefit from them in the development of Omani law. The researcher concluded that the Omani law has permitted arbitration in these contract disputes, and its texts are meant to organize the arbitration process in its various stages. Contracts, which allows the administrative body to agree with the contracting party to resort to arbitration free of any restrictions. In view of the importance and danger of this type of contracts on the state's economy, national security and natural resources, the researcher concluded by saying that it is necessary to issue independent legislation regulating the arbitration process in disputes arising from administrative contracts, and that resorting to arbitration in disputes of these contracts is restricted by the approval of the Council of Ministers based on a proposal from The competent minister, with no authorization in this matter. It also requires that the contracting administrative authority entrust the legal and technical specialists with the task of drafting the arbitration clause when it is included in the administrative contracts
