Reliable and economical power delivery is one of the priorities of any electricity company in the world. Muscat Electricity Distribution Company is licensed to supply and distribute electricity in Muscat Governorate. The company maintains, operates and plans the electrical grid after these responsibilities have been transferred from the Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water. Like any private company, Muscat Electricity Distribution Company seeks to study the electrical grid that has been transformed and redesigned in a reliable and economical way so that the company can fulfill its obligations towards the license granted to it. In this report, the results of the third region study were reviewed in terms of energy flow. Future prospects for electric power were also studied and ways of developing them were discussed based on information from previous reports or site information. The technique of optimum capacitor utilization was also reviewed by the use of ETAP software to analyze the current capacitor utilization and design the network using optimum capacitor utilization which will reduce power loss. The results of the research and suggestions are included in each part of the study based on the results. These proposals will help to understand the current situation of the electrical network and suggest future scenarios. The results showed that only 4% of the capacitors installed in the third area are actually used. This means that it is possible to avoid the cost of 50% of the prices of these capacitors if the use of the optimal recruitment technology for the capacitors mentioned in this study in the planning phase of any electrical network.
